Nevrast

Nevrast
   The region [south-]west of Dor-lómin, beyond Ered Lómin, where Turgon dwelt before his departure to Gondolin. The name, meaning 'Hither Shore', was originally that of all the northwestern coast of Middle-earth (the opposite being Haerast 'the Far Shore', the coast of Aman).

   The first homeland of Turgon in Middle-earth.
   A mountainous coastal land on the northwestern bounds of Beleriand; the dwelling place of Turgon and his people during the first century of the First Age, before their removal to Gondolin.
